The monster created by Charlie not only shows his creativity while sculpting magnificent artwork, but it shows his patience with. He started making the monster by simply creating a small pinch pot for the base. He then created eyes by flattening 2 balls and pasting them on the monsters face. Then, he created arms by rolling 2 rods (with small fingers on them) and scratching and attaching to the pinch pot. Finally, the feet were created by making 2 squares for feet and, once again, scratching and attaching to the pinch pot base. The purpose of my monster is to make people smile when they see this piece of art.
Inspiration
My piece was inspired by this one of a kind James DeRosso. Though my piece has slightly different eyes and a different mouth, I purposely kept the size, feet, and style of his piece the same as mine. Some would even say that my monster shows more patience, skill, and dedication than his piece.
